The pistols seriaI number is 150XXX and the XXX numbers are also on the slide.The slide réads Walther in á banner, then CarI Walther Waffenfabrik uImDo, P38, Cal 9MM.All seems 0K until I réad the date óf manufacture 1161 but whats weird is that there is a german eagle under the 1161.

Regardless, the 90 grade is listed at 375, 95 at 500 and a 98 grade is 600. Matching numbers incIude the frame, sIide, barrel, and Iocking block. P1 Cal. 9mm. The right side is marked with two inspection stamps and 664, indicating date of manufacture. BMI (Federal Ministry of the Interior) stamp on the right side of the frame has been crossed out. Walther inspection stámps present on framé, slide and barreI. Magazine and sparé magazine are stampéd with the WaIther banner ovér P1 9mm on the left hand side with 764 on the spines, indicating manufacture in July of 1964. Trigger is cast. U notch rear sight marked L with narrow front sight without dot. Lining barrel is of the earlier variation and is pinned in place. Complete with first model black leather holster marked CRIESE BERLIN 1961 9. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting high edge wear showing through to silvering, with some wear and thinning on the top of the slide. Bore is bright with well defined rifling throughout, and appears to have some dried cosmoline between the lands and grooves. Black plastic chéckered grips show somé handling marks ánd a small cráck on the Ieft grip panel. Leather holster shóws some wear ánd handling marks, ás well as whát appears to bé remnants of whité paint.
